Saltwater Fishing tips...

Saltwater fishing on Cape Cod could provide you with a very tasty meal- if you know where and when to go! The best time to fish in our ocean waters is just before and for an hour after high tide and low tide. This is when the fish feed the most. The best weather for fishing is during a steady or rising barometric pressure. And, the best time of the month to fish is between the New Moon and the Full Moon which means the best time this month is before September 6th and after September 20th.

Fishing Spots: Fish from the banks of the Cape Cod Canal or surf fish at Surf Drive Beach in Falmouth & Outer Cape Beaches.

Fishing By Boat: There are many Charter Boat Services (check out the links on this website). Parties up to 6-8 people can take 4-8 hour trips from the following harbors:

Cape Cod Bay
  • Barnstable Harbor
  • Sesuit Harbor, Dennis
  • Rock Harbor, Orleans
  • Wellfleet Harbor
  • Provincetown Harbor
Nantucket Sound
  • Hyannis Harbor
  • Saquatucket Harbor, Harwich
  • Chatham Harbor
